Cookie Policy
A complete inventory of the cookies and identifiers used across EliteDating, why each exists, how long it persists, and how to control analytics and personalised advertising.
01What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies — local storage, pixels, SDKs and device identifiers — perform comparable functions. Together they allow a site to remember your session, measure performance and, in the case of advertising, determine which promotions are shown to you.
EliteDating uses a limited, documented set of these technologies. Non-essential categories are only activated after you give consent through our consent management banner, and you may change that decision at any time.
02Categories We Use
Strictly necessary
Session authentication, security tokens, load balancing, language selection and consent state. Always active; the service cannot function without them.
Analytics & performance
Aggregated measurement of page views, scroll depth and Core Web Vitals so that we can improve the member experience. Set only with consent.
Functional
Remembers favourites, gallery unlock state, chat drafts and interface preferences across visits.
Advertising & personalisation
Set by advertising networks, including Google and its partners, to select, cap, measure and personalise the advertisements shown to you.

04Advertising Cookies & Google Partners
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our sites and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising from Google at Ads Settings, and from many other vendors at www.aboutads.info/choices or www.youronlinechoices.eu.
- Where the EU user consent policy applies, no advertising cookie is set before you accept it in the banner.
- Declining advertising cookies does not remove advertising — it means the advertising you see is contextual rather than personalised.
Contextual advertising still applies
Editorial pages covering wealth management, market intelligence and lifestyle topics may display contextual promotions related to that subject matter even when personalisation is switched off. These are matched to the page, not to you.
05Managing Your Preferences
| If you disable… | Consequence |
|---|---|
| Necessary cookies | Sign-in, messaging and private gallery unlocks stop working |
| Functional cookies | Favourites, match state and language preference are forgotten |
| Analytics cookies | We lose aggregated insight used to improve performance |
| Advertising cookies | Ads remain, but become contextual and are repeated more often |
- Use the cookie preferences link in the footer to reopen the consent banner and change any category at any time.
- Browser settings allow you to block or delete cookies entirely — note that blocking necessary cookies will break sign-in and gallery unlocks.
- Mobile devices offer a system-level control: Limit Ad Tracking (iOS) or Opt out of Ads Personalisation (Android).
- Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals are honoured as an opt-out of sale or sharing where applicable.
06Policy Updates
We audit our cookie inventory quarterly and whenever a new advertising or measurement partner is introduced. Material changes trigger a fresh consent request, and the revision date at the top of this page is updated accordingly.
